A beautiful horse.

The University of Massachusetts Extension Agriculture and Landscape Program will once again sponsor a seminar series focused on equine and livestock issues. In the tradition of the Mass Aggie Seminars, the 2008 UMass Equine & Livestock Series will feature UMass Extension Educators and UMass Amherst faculty.

The 2008 Series will include eight seminars, split into two day long sessions. Each session will be presented on three different dates/locations. A broad and diverse range of topics will be presented, covering specifics within several areas including pasture management, horse conditioning, biosecurity on the farm, hay quality, and livestock breeding.

Follow the links in the left hand navigation menu for complete information. Details about each individual seminar are outlined in the 'Seminars' section, and program locations and driving directions are listed in the 'Locations' section. Visit the 'Register' section for instructions on how to register for seminars.

Additional information about the 2008 Equine & Livestock Series is available at:

Proceeds from these programs will partially support the research and outreach efforts conducted by UMass Extension for farmers and agribusinesses in Massachusetts
