2008 Equine & Livestock Series Instructors

• Susan Bruns is the UMass Horse Farm Manager and has traveled around the world with top level equine athletes, so she has a strong background toward feeding the elite athlete as well as the pasture companion.
  
• Carrie Chickering-Sears is an Extension Educator - UMass Amherst, and Director of Community Education in Animal Agriculture.
  
• Dr. Carlos Gradil is a DVM, PhD, Diplomate of the American College of Reproduction. He is an Extension Associate Professor and Director of large animal health at the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
  
• Dr. Masoud Hashemi is an Extension Educator - UMass Amherst, and a crop and nutrient/manure management specialist.
  
• Dr. Stephen Herbert is a UMass Professor in the Dept of Plant, Soil, Insect Sciences. He is UMass Extension Team Leader for Crops, Dairy, Livestock, Equine programs, and lived on a pasture-based dairy farm in New Zealand.
  
• Randall Prostak is an Extension Educator - UMass Amherst, specializing in weed management.
